The students of class XII along with their parents were welcomed at the gate with a badge by the students of class XI. The function started at 4pm in the auditorium after the arrival of the dignitaries. It began with the rendition of the prayer song, followed by the Bible reading by Blesson Baby and the lighting of the lamp by Principal ma’am. Thereafter the formal graduation ceremony started where class XII students were given certificates and mementoes by Respected Vice Chairman sir. This ceremony was followed by the “Spread the Light” ceremony with class XI students singing the song ‘Showers of Blessings’ and class XII students receiving lit candles from Principal ma’am.
Soon after, Respected Principal ma’am addressed the audience. She expressed her absolute honour and delight in welcoming everyone to the ceremony. She fondly reflected on the students’ journey, recalling how the school initially appeared unfamiliar to them, but gradually transformed into a second home. Over the span of nearly fourteen years, the institution became a nurturing space where teachers and friends turned into lifelong companions and strong bonds of friendship were formed.
The Principal emphasized that the foundation of values, discipline, and character is laid during school life. She highlighted that St. George’s firmly believes in imparting strong values that shape a student’s personality, life purpose, and overall outlook. She stated that Georgians are always expected to be exceptional, guided by the values they have imbibed, which ultimately lead them towards success. This, she remarked, is the true success mantra of St. George’s.
She acknowledged the visionary leadership of the Director Ma’am, who firmly believes that schools exist solely for children and that they deserve the best. The Principal appreciated her constant efforts in providing excellent infrastructure and regular upgrades to ensure holistic development. Gratitude was also extended to the Vice-Chairman Sir for his unwavering presence and support for the students.
Referring to the theme of the ceremony, “Unchanging Values in Changing Times”, the Principal explained that the school motto and the logo “Spread the Light” inspire students to uphold eternal values and become guiding lights for others. She encouraged the students to remain steadfast in their principles, assuring them that no obstacle can prevent them from reaching the zenith if they remain true to these values.
The Principal laid special emphasis on the role of parents, describing them as invaluable partners in the educational journey. She thanked the parents for their trust in the institution and for standing firmly with the school throughout the years. She reiterated that when parents and school walk together, students stand taller. She also acknowledged the selfless dedication of teachers and mentors, who nurture students with care and commitment, much like parents.
Concluding her address, the Principal extended heartfelt blessings to the graduating students, encouraging them to shine in life and pursue excellence with integrity. She expressed gratitude to the management and the PGGS Principal and staff for their continuous assistance in successfully organizing the ceremony.
This was followed by a cultural extravaganza by class XI where they showcased programmes like western dance, bhangra and ramp walk based on the theme ‘Unchanging values in changing times.’
After the vibrant cultural show, there was a presentation by class XII, where they reminisced about their school life through photos in power point presentation. The teachers then came forward to wish the students good luck through the song ‘Shubhkamnayein’.
The program concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
