PRIZE DISTRIBUTION ON THE EVE OF INDEPENDENCE DAY
St. George’s School celebrated the Independence Day with grandeur and pride on 14 August 2026, hosting a prize distribution ceremony to honour the meritorious students of Classes X and XII. The auspicious occasion was graced by honorable Director Ma’am, Dr Sara George, esteemed Vice Chairman Sir, Mr Alexander George Muthoot and Principal Ma’am, Ms Anjali Massey. The event was marked by patriotic fervour, cultural vibrancy, and an inspiring address that reinforced the school’s commitment to excellence and nation-building.
The ceremony commenced with a Guard of Honour presented by the enthusiastic students of Class V, followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the tricolour by esteemed Vice Chairman Sir. Subsequently, it culminated in the oath-taking ceremony presided over by the President of the Students’ Council.
Academic achievers from Classes X and XII were felicitated with awards presented by esteemed Vice Chairman Sir. In her address, the Principal, inspired parents to set high benchmarks and nurture patriotic values by fostering motivated and ignited minds that lead India toward excellence. She also encouraged students to imbibe virtues from great freedom fighters. She advised students to cultivate digital smartness and emotional intelligence, urging them to grow into fully committed citizens of India. The present class 12 students must lead on building a strong foundation, stay rooted, humble and be respectful towards all. In recognition of outstanding performance, teachers who delivered exceptional CBSE results were honoured with gold coins.
The event featured a dazzling display of India’s cultural wealth. The Little Georgeans presented a colorful Action Song on Hum Chote Chote Deep Hai and a disciplined Drill, inspired by the vision of Fit India Movement. Senior students enthralled the audience with their dance drama Bharat ki Nayi Udaan showcasing the spirit of a new and progressive India and also presented a stirring patriotic Qawwali, Khushboo Mere Watan Ki….., celebrating the joy and unity of the nation.
The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Head Boy of the Students’ Council. The function ended on a high note with the National Anthem, leaving students and staff filled with pride and renewed determination.
