HEALTHY EATING AND NUTRITION  BY GO-SHARPENER-CLASSES IV &V

On 3rd December 2025, St. George’s School hosted an enriching and interactive workshop conducted by Ms. Shivani Pandey from Go-Sharpener . The session focused on creating awareness about the long-term harmful effects of packaged food products on our health.

The workshop began with a fun activity in which students had to respond with the opposite action or answer to the command given. This engaging start immediately captured their attention. It was followed by a discussion where children were asked how many of them regularly consumed chips, Frooti, cold drinks, biscuits, ketchup, and other packaged items. Students were encouraged to read out the ingredients of these products, after which Ms. Pandey explained how the main ingredients are often replaced with chemicals, artificial flavours, and food colours. Examples such as chocolate biscuits, tomato ketchup, and Cheetos helped children understand the issue more clearly.

The students were then motivated to participate in a creative activity where they designed their own healthy food product. They named their products, created taglines, labelled the price, and listed healthy ingredients. A few enthusiastic participants were invited on stage to present their creations and explain why people should choose their product over packaged junk food.

The workshop proved to be an eye-opener for children who often consume junk food in their daily lives. It successfully spread awareness about the hidden ingredients and harmful effects of packaged food and encouraged students to opt for healthier alternatives such as freshly prepared homemade meals.
