Disaster Management Workshop 20-11-2025

Report on the Disaster Management Workshop
A Disaster Management Workshop was held in St. George’s School on 20th
November 2025 for students of Classes 7 and 8. The session was organised by the
NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) under the guidelines of the DDMA
(District Disaster Management Authority). The workshop was led by Inspector B.S.
Chauhan and his team. The main objective of the session was to create awareness
among students about various types of disasters and the essential skills needed to
respond effectively during emergencies.
The team explained key disaster management techniques, including earthquake
drills, identifying emergency exits, and following basic safety measures. They also
demonstrated how to handle common injuries such as bleeding and fractures, along
with essential life-saving skills like CPR and mouth-to-mouth breathing.
Several students were invited on stage to participate in mock drills. They practiced
the earthquake safety position—Drop, Cover, and Hold—and were guided on how
to assist injured persons safely. The hands-on activities helped students understand
the procedures better and made the session highly interactive.
The workshop concluded with Inspector Chauhan encouraging students to stay alert,
stay prepared, and spread awareness about disaster safety in their communities.
Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and extremely beneficial, equipping
students with valuable life-saving skills.
