REPORT ON MULTIPLE  INTELLIGENCE CAMP

To foster holistic development and celebrate the diverse talents of learners, St. George’s School, Alaknanda organised a two- day Multiple Intelligence Camp for students of Classes I to VIII on 29th and 30th January 2026. The camp was thoughtfully planned to help students experience and engage with the eight intelligences—visual, musical, logical, verbal, social, intrapersonal, naturalistic, and bodily-kinesthetic recognising that every child learns and excels in unique ways.

The camp was conducted in two phases: Day 1 catered to students of Classes I to III, while Day 2 was organised for Classes IV to VIII. A total of 613 students enthusiastically participated in the programme. The programme commenced with the inauguration by the Honourable Director Ma’am, whose inspiring presence elevated the significance of the event, in the gracious presence of the Respected Principal Ma’am.

With the objective of nurturing the varied potential of every learner, the camp provided meaningful, hands-on opportunities for students to explore, identify, and strengthen their individual abilities. Carefully curated activities promoted the understanding that intelligence is multi-dimensional and encouraged holistic growth through experiential learning.

Each activity was designed to ensure active participation, self-expression, and confidence building. Students displayed great enthusiasm, creativity and appreciate the diverse talents of their peers, thereby boosting motivation and self-esteem.

The programme featured a wide range of age-appropriate experiential activities such as Jasmonite Art, Zorbing, Wall Climbing, Trampoline,  Aerobics, Dance and Loom Knitting. Students made woollen caps and  dressed teddy bear soft toys with them reflecting creativity and hands on learning through Looming machines.They also connected with nature through pottery activities. These experiences enhanced their creativity, tactile perception, balance, coordination, and gross motor skills. Exposure to robotics further helped students develop technical skills and logical thinking.

The activities fostered essential life skills such as alertness, teamwork, responsibility, integrity, confidence, and empathy. Each learner remained meaningfully engaged, exploring personal strengths while learning the value of cooperation and mutual respect.

At the conclusion of the camp, every student was presented with a gift, badge, and certificate as a token of love and appreciation.They were also provided with pizza and juice as refreshments. The camp proved to be an enjoyable and enriching experience, broadening students’ perspectives and enhancing a wide range of skills.

Overall, the Multiple Intelligence Camp strongly reflected the school’s commitment to inclusive and holistic education, leaving a lasting impression on students by nurturing self-discovery, creativity and confidence.
