INVESTITURE CEREMONY – 23 JULY 2026
“Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking responsibility and
inspiring others to do their best.”
St. George’s School, Alaknanda, proudly celebrated its Investiture Ceremony on
23 July 2026, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing responsible, confident, and
value-driven leaders. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly
elected Student Council of the Primary Wing, entrusting them with the
responsibility of upholding the school’s ideals with dedication and integrity.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by
Honourable Director Ma’am, symbolising the triumph of knowledge and wisdom.
This was followed by a soulful prayer hymn presented by the school choir and a
graceful classical dance performance that added elegance to the occasion.
Respected Principal, Ms. Anjali Massey, conferred the badges and sashes upon
the newly elected Captains and Vice-Captains, officially investing them with
their leadership roles. The proud young leaders then took the oath to serve the
school with sincerity, discipline, and commitment.
In her inspiring address, Principal Ma’am congratulated the newly elected council
members and encouraged them to lead by example. She emphasised that true
leadership is reflected through responsibility, integrity, compassion, respect, and
selfless service, inspiring others through actions rather than authority. Urging the
students to become role models, she encouraged them to practise what they
preach and uphold the values and traditions of St. George’s School with pride.
She also appreciated the unwavering support of parents and teachers, highlighting
that when home and school work together with a shared vision, children grow
into confident, responsible, and value-driven individuals. Congratulating the
parents and the newly elected council members, she wished them success in their
new responsibilities and encouraged them to uphold the values and traditions of
St. George’s School with pride.
The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the National
Anthem, leaving the young leaders inspired to carry out their duties with
confidence, dedication, and pride.
