ST. GEORGE’S SCHOOL CELEBRATES 165TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF RABINDRANATH TAGORE

St. George’s School marked the 165th birth anniversary of the visionary poet, philosopher, musician, and artist Rabindranath Tagore with immense enthusiasm on May 7, 2026. The event was graced by Honourable Director Ma’am and Respected Principal Ma’am.
The programme opened with highlights of Tagore’s profound contributions, followed by a stirring rendition of his patriotic song “Ekla Chalo Re.” Its timeless message of courage, self-reliance, and perseverance resonated deeply, inspiring all to forge ahead alone if needed. A vibrant dance drama then showcased Tagore’s transformative impact on education and society, evoking pride for the Nobel Laureate’s multifaceted genius. Subsequently, young scholars from Class X and winners of inter-school competitions were felicitated for their outstanding achievements.
In her address, respected Principal Ma’am urged students to emulate Gurudev’s passion and dedication in pursuing their dreams. She emphasized his enduring legacy as a wellspring of inspiration and extended hearty congratulations to the scholar badge recipients and competition winners for bringing laurels to the school.
