REPORT ON INTER-HOUSE GROUP SONG COMPETITION

St. George’s School, Alaknanda organised an Inter-House Group Song Competition
on 30th January, 2026 for the students of Classes I and II. The competition was
graced by Honourable Director ma’am and Respected Principal ma’am that was
themed on children’s songs. It was a delightful celebration of music, rhythm, and
enthusiasm.
The young participants looked vibrant, dressed in colourful costumes that they
complemented with their creative headgears, sashes, and hand bands, which added
a visual appeal to their performances. Each house presented melodious songs with
excellent rhythm, clarity, and expressive voice modulation. The students performed
with remarkable confidence, zeal, and coordination, captivating the audience and
creating a cheerful atmosphere throughout the event.
Nehru House emerged as the winner, securing the first position. Respected Principal
ma’am appreciated the thoughtful selection of songs and applauded the participants
for their spirited and heart-warming performances. She commended the meaningful
lyrics rendered with heartfelt expression and encouraged the students to maintain
synchronisation between rhythm and facial expressions while performing.
The programme concluded on a joyful and memorable note, with students beaming
with happiness and pride as they received warm applause and appreciation from the
audience.
