REPORT ON COMPUTER EXHIBITION
St. George’s School, Alaknanda, successfully organized a Computer Exhibition for students of Classes I to V on 21.4.26. The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of technology and encourage creativity, collaboration, and practical learning. The exhibition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers. The programme was graced by Honourable Director Ma’am and the respected Principal Ma’am. It commenced with an inauguration, marked by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting conducted by the Honourable Director Ma’am.The event then unfolded with a series of engaging presentations by students from different classes.
Class I students presented a delightful poem on computers, introducing the audience to basic concepts in a creative manner. Class II students shared informative insights about the various parts of a computer, enhancing awareness among attendees. Class III students displayed their artwork created using MS Paint, showcasing their creativity and digital skills. Class IV students delivered a presentation on PowerPoint (PPT), explaining what a PPT is, along with key points for creating effective presentations. They also demonstrated features such as animations, hyperlinks, and image insertion. Additionally, they discussed the advantages and disadvantages of technology, encouraging critical thinking among the audience. Class V students explored advanced topics such as Artificial Intelligence platforms, including tools like ChatGPT, Gamma AI for creating presentations, and Canva AI. They also demonstrated the use of Scratch software for developing simple games, reflecting their growing technical proficiency.
The exhibition also featured a cultural programme, adding vibrancy to the event. Students creatively depicted computer parts through a ramp walk, and a dance performance illustrated the harmonious relationship between humans and artificial intelligence.
Respected Principal Ma’am appreciated the efforts of all the participants and encouraged students to continue exploring technological advancements. She emphasized that the present era is driven by technology, making it essential for everyone to learn and stay updated. She also advised that technology should be used wisely without diminishing creativity and independent thinking. Furthermore, she encouraged greater participation in collaborative activities such as group discussions, pair work, and inter-class competitions to promote inclusive learning.
The exhibition concluded on a positive note, leaving participants inspired and motivated to further explore the world of technology.
