Infrastructure
The school building is an imposing piece of architecture. The covered area exceeds 1,00,000 square feet, and the building is designed to provide up-to-date facilities. St. George’s School has a cricket ground with two turf wickets of international standard and a well-maintained badminton court. It is the only school in Delhi to have the entire sports complex illuminated with floodlights.
The foundation stone of the building is laid by H.E. Mr. Vice President of India, and the building was inaugurated by H. E. Honourable President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma on May 14, 1993.
The best of facilities and latest teaching aids including electronic smart boards, tablet computers, and mobile aids accentuate the teaching-learning process.
Additionally, an entire floor of the school accommodates science laboratories and the library. There are dedicated rooms for classical music and western music. The Senior classrooms, dance studio, and the Art Room are renovated. Students also have access to an RO (Reverse Osmosis) drinking water system, which has several water points on each floor.
The school also has a state-of-the-art staff training centre, where teacher training workshops get organised throughout the year. It widens subject familiarity as well as updates students with the latest teaching methodologies and evaluation tools.
St. George’s School strives to upgrade technology infrastructure by adding over 65 new computers for the Senior Labs and Wi-Fi connectivity. The school has efficient administrative software to take care of the Time Table generation, Examination, Payroll, and Student & Staff Information System.
