Environmental Conservation
At St. George’s School, we place great emphasis on saving our environment for generations to come. We inspire a sense of belonging and care among students for Nature and the environment. We go beyond discussing environmental issues with the students to involving them in the implementation of conservational measures.
Some of the things we do in the school campus towards a better environment include rainwater harvesting, maintaining eco-friendly compost pits, planting more trees and, having a paper recycling room where our students make recycled paper. St. George’s School has emerged as a National Winner consistently in the Green School Awards presented by the Centre for Science and Environment since 2008. It also attained the 4th position pan-India in the ‘Change Makers’ category and the 2nd position in the Delhi state category for 2010-11.
Our efforts for conserving the environment are duly acknowledged, and we hope that our next step takes us closer to achieving a greener world.
