REPORT ON AZAD AND TILAK JAYANTI   St. George’s School, Alaknanda celebrated Azad and Tilak Jayanti on 22^nd July, 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversaries of freedom fighters, Chandra Shekhar Azad and Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The school house groups are named after them. Chandra Shekhar Azad and Bal Gangadhar Tilak are admired for their contribution to India’s freedom struggle. This fact was reiterated by students of the primary section in their patriotic song-Janani Janm Bhumi. Students of the senior section presented a skit on Chandra Shekhar Azad that reflected his patriotism and also appreciated the freedom fighters via a speech. After the prize distribution, the Principal-Ms Anjali Massey emphasized on the sacrifice of the freedom fighters and reminded students about their unique contribution and strength. She encouraged students to be courageous sons and daughters of the nation espousing values of sincerity, truthfulness, fearlessness, patriotism and kindness.
