Report on Inter-House Group Song Competition for Classes III-V
On 27th January 2026, the spirit of environmental conservation was vividly celebrated at St. George’s School, Alaknanda, during the Inter-House Group Song Competition for students of Classes III to V. The theme for the event was “Save Environment,” and it resonated strongly throughout the performances.
The occasion was graced by Honourable Director Ma’am and Respected Principal Ma’am, whose presence added great enthusiasm and encouragement to the participants. The event commenced with a brief yet insightful presentation on the importance of protecting our environment, setting a meaningful tone for the day.
Each of the eight houses participated with great enthusiasm and creative flair, passionately conveying the importance of saving and preserving our environment. The young performers displayed remarkable confidence, expressive emotion, and strong teamwork, captivating the audience with their melodious voices and powerful messages.
Nehru House emerged victorious, securing the first position with an impressive performance marked by seamless coordination, harmonious vocals, and impactful expression.
In her inspiring address, Respected Principal Ma’am appreciated the thoughtful use of costumes, creative headgears, and vibrant combinations of colours that truly enhanced the performances. She also praised the confident comperes, who spoke with confidence and clarity. Ma’am connected the competition’s theme with the ongoing environmental initiatives on Go-Sharper, emphasizing practical efforts such as collecting PET bottles for recycling into sustainable, useful products. She also reminded students about the importance of stage awareness and urged teachers to guide them in positioning themselves evenly across the performance area, even in the absence of a team member, to maintain balance and enhance visual appeal.
The event concluded with a resounding National Anthem. This competition served as a beautiful celebration of Earth conservation and played a significant role in spreading awareness about the importance of preserving our natural environment.
