St. George’s School, Alaknanda celebrated India’s  69th  Republic Day and the birth anniversary of one of India's greatest freedom fighters Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on 25th January 2018. The flag hoisting was done by Honourable Director Ma’am after which the preamble of the constitution was read by Respected Principal Sir, who in his address also mentioned that it was very important for students to study hard with sincere efforts in order to make their country proud. The message of Honourable Deputy Chief Minister was also presented after which the cultural program started.

The cultural program started with a skit which took the students back to the history of our country to witness the incident when Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose convinced the soldiers of our country to leave the British army and join his Azad Hind Fauj. Next was a self composed song sung by senior boys titled Sabse Unchi Vijaya Pathaka that sings about the glories of our country and the tricolor. Lastly the program came to an end with a splendid Odisy Dance. It was a memorable day with cherished memories.
